Contracting Advantages
As an 8(a) Native Hawaiian Organization-owned entity EXJV offers unique contracting benefits
- $100M Direct Awards for DoD. Effective March 17th, 2020, EXJV may receive direct awards up to $100M from our DoD Customers.
- Awards cannot be protested. Awards to EXJV cannot be protested per 13 CFR 124.517(a).
- No procurement competition. There is no requirement for competition of direct/sole source awards to EXJV per 13 CFR 124.506(b)(3).
- Follow-on to competitive awards can be sole sourced. As an NHO, EXJV may receive sole source awards, even for contracts previously competitively awarded in the 8(a) program.
- Faster procurements via Alpha Contracting. EXJV can work jointly with the Government to reduce procurement time, develop the statement of work, and provide a better solution via “Alpha Contracting”.
- Achieve Small Business Target Goals. New administration could increase Small Business goals from 5% to 15%.
- Average time from initial meeting to contract: 40 Days.
5 Step Direct Award Process
Federal customers can issue a sole source contract to EXJV by following these simple steps.
- Send an 8(a) Offering Letter to SBA per the instructions in our template. (Click here to download an Offering Letter Template)
- Wait to receive the SBA’s Letter of Approval (approximately 3 days)
- Send Request for Proposal to EXJV
- EXJV submits proposal
- Award contract to EXJV
